Job summary

VIVA USA Inc is seeking a Senior Front-End Tech Lead to guide Staff MIUI screens within IWD, providing technical direction, engineering standards, accessibility compliance, and CI/CD improvements.

The role blends hands-on development with leadership, working with Angular, SASS, HTML, USWDS, and accessibility testing tools. Remote-friendly with strong collaboration with Java backend teams.

Qualifications

• Senior front-end engineer with leadership responsibilities.
• Expert in Angular, SASS and HTML.
• Experience implementing a design system; USWDS experience preferred.
• Formal accessibility certification (CPACC, WAS, or equivalent).
• Hands-on accessibility testing using automated tools, screen readers, and manual navigation.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD and front-end deployment workflows.
• Ability to work effectively with Java backend teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead front-end architecture, coding standards, and technical direction for Staff MIUI screens.
• Develop, review, and maintain high-quality front-end code.
• Implement and enforce the USWDS and clientDesign System across the project.
• Own accessibility strategy and ensure WCAG 2.2 AA and Section 508 compliance.
• Perform accessibility validation with automated tools and screen readers.
• Mentor front-end developers and lead design reviews.
• Improve and maintain front-end CI/CD processes and pipelines.
• Identify architectural gaps and define the front-end roadmap.
• Collaborate with Java backend teams to integrate APIs/services.
• Produce technical documentation and decision records.
• Apply secure development practices per government security requirements.
