Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a Front-End Engineer II for a fully remote role in the United States. You will build and enhance single-page applications supporting internal systems and user-facing experiences, partnering with front-end developers, API engineers, designers, and product owners.

The role emphasizes component libraries, testing, accessibility, and code standards, with mentoring responsibilities for associate engineers and interns in a Scrum environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years developing and architecting single page applications with a modern JavaScript framework (Ember/React/Angular/Vue).
• Strong HTML, CSS and JavaScript fundamentals, with mobile-first/responsive design.
• Experience creating reusable components or libraries across applications.
• Experience with ES2015+ and Node.js.
• Experience with build tools like Gulp.js.
• Experience writing unit/integration/UI tests.
• Experience in an Agile Scrum environment.
• Comfort using AI tools in development workflows and discovery.
• Proficiency with React for modern feature development and migration from Ember when applicable.

Responsibilities

• Develop mobile-first single page applications, primarily with Ember.js, for various devices and environments.
• Convert mockups and wireframes into clean, maintainable, reusable components.
• Maintain and extend JavaScript code and legacy plugins.
• Validate and test for Section 508 accessibility and cross-browser compatibility.
• Lint, evaluate, and unit test JavaScript.
• Write clean, reusable code that adheres to published standards.
• Assist with discovery and diagnosis of bugs in development environments.
• Participate in front-end and Scrum team ceremonies.
• Maintain code libraries and document technical specifications.
• Research solutions and contribute to code standards and reviews.
• Mentor associate front-end engineers and interns.
