Job summary

SMX is seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer - Front End Web Applications to contribute to the Budget and Spend (BAS) solution. This remote role supports a Washington, DC based customer and requires a Public Trust clearance.

You will build dashboards and UI components using SAP Analytics Cloud and JavaScript, review designs, optimize performance, and collaborate across teams. U.S. citizenship and clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of front-end software engineering using JavaScript/HTML5/CSS.
• Knowledge of REST APIs; experience creating/consuming APIs; JSON/XML.
• OOP/Design, Web Development and debugging experience.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Strong programming skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Public Trust clearance.
• U.S. citizenship required to maintain federal clearance.

Responsibilities

• Build enterprise planning and reporting apps using SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) or other web technologies.
• Review requirements and interface designs.
• Develop and implement highly interactive UI/UX components.
• Monitor and improve front-end performance.
• Document application changes and updates.
• Provide feedback on UI/UX feasibility.
• Optimize web applications for scalability and speed.
• Participate in code reviews and collaborate with team members.
