Job summary

Desjardins in the United States seeks a life and health insurance financial security advisor to serve, prospect for and develop relationships with members and clients. You will sell life, health, disability and critical illness insurance products through multiple channels, tailoring solutions to needs.

You will assess client needs, monitor markets, and collaborate with partners to help members achieve financial goals while balancing risk and profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• A minimum of one year of relevant experience.
• Representative’s certificate in damage insurance (AMF).
• Knowledge of French is required.
• Action oriented, Communicates effectively, Customer Focus, Interpersonal Savvy, Nimble learning, Situational adaptability.

Responsibilities

• Sell and provide advice on life, health, disability and critical illness insurance products
• Assess customer satisfaction and service quality, follow up and make improvements as needed. Establish and maintain good relationships with referral sources. Help target and analyze potential member/client files
• Act on business opportunities and present information to partners so that members and clients can reach their financial goals
• Monitor the industry to identify business development opportunities and stay on top of new products and trends
