Qualifications

• Texas Teacher Certification in content area.
• Strong understanding of TEKS state standards and related ELPS/CCRS.
• Extensive knowledge of K-12 social studies curriculum, assessment, and trends.
• Five years of classroom teaching experience in content area.
• Familiarity with cloud-based productivity suites and online curriculum platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and enhancement of social studies curriculum, assessment, and resources.
• Collaborate with Content Coordinator and team to plan goals, budgets, and timelines.
• Regularly communicate progress and address issues to ensure on-time delivery.
• Support statewide professional development for content and products.
• Direct contractors and cross-functional project teams to meet deliverables.
• Stay current with trends and TEA/SBOE activities impacting content.
• Maintain internal file systems and documentation for content development.
