Job summary

D-BOX Technologies Inc. in Burbank, California, seeks a Haptic Designer for an evening-shift role. You will translate sound frequencies into synchronized haptics and motion for multimedia content, ensuring the D-BOX signature across projects.

Reporting to the Lead, Haptic Design, you will use Pro Tools (and REAPER) to craft and integrate haptic tracks, manage assets, and collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams. Teleworking options are available and knowledge sharing is encouraged.

Qualifications

• College diploma in audiovisual production or equivalent
• 1–3 years of experience in audiovisual post-production
• Experience with Pro Tools or REAPER
• Ability to work with deadlines
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to receive constructive feedback
• Flexibility to work overtime as production requires
• Good physical health and stamina

Responsibilities

• Use Pro Tools to create and integrate haptic tracks.
• Edit existing frequencies or create new ones for haptic effects.
• Identify and synchronize haptic effects with multimedia content.
• Participate in final mixing of haptic codes.
• Perform post-production tasks including asset management and archiving.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing and training of new team members.
• Collaborate with clients on various projects.
• Engage in cross-functional creative projects.
• Help maintain and evolve the D-BOX signature.
• Adhere to cybersecurity requirements and protocols.
• Represent the department during internal and external visits.
