Job summary

NASDA is hiring a part-time Field Enumerator to support our agriculture nonprofit. You will interview farmers and ranchers, perform crop counts, and maintain detailed records from a residence with travel as needed. The role offers a flexible schedule, mileage reimbursement, and the ability to work from home while serving communities nationwide.

You will use your vehicle for field visits, enjoy a positive work environment, and grow with opportunities for advancement based on hours and performance.

Qualifications

• Experience multitasking in an energetic, deadline-oriented work environment.
• Ability to positively represent NASDA and the benefits of enumerators in all survey actions.
• Ability to make crop counts in designated fields.
• Ability to maintain a reliable personal vehicle.
• Ability to conduct interviews in person or by telephone with farm operators and other individuals.
• Knowledge about computers or iPads.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to walk unassisted on uneven ground for up to 100 yards.
• Able to travel up to 250 miles on a quarterly basis for training.

Responsibilities

• Interview farmers, ranchers, and agricultural businesses in person or by phone.
• Travel to designated fields to perform crop counts as needed.
• Maintain and deliver detailed records of interviews, counts, mileage, expenditures, and hours worked.
