ACQ Media, the in-house media engine behind Acquisition.com, is seeking a freelance Video Editor to transform raw footage into engaging long-form videos, podcasts, and short-form content for YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and more.

This on-demand contract role requires at least 2 years of editing experience, strong Premiere Pro skills, and the ability to collaborate within a post‑production pipeline. Expect flexible hours aligned with West Coast business hours.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of professional video editing experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and the editorial judgment to craft compelling narratives.
• Excellent file-management habits and experience in collaborative post-production pipelines.
• Strong written and verbal communication, including Slack and project management tools like Monday.com.
• Working knowledge of audience retention principles and platform-native content practices.

Responsibilities

• Edit polished long‑form videos, podcasts, and short‑form content for YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and emerging platforms.
• Translate briefs and direction into focused edits with hooks, pacing, structure and storytelling.
• Maintain organized, handoff‑ready project files following naming conventions and workflows.
• Communicate progress, surface blockers early, and incorporate feedback within timelines.
• Use performance data and platform trends to improve future edits and workflows.
