Iterative Health seeks an experienced freelance Medical Writer to lead development, finalization, and submission of peer-reviewed publications, abstracts, and posters, plus other scientific communications. You will collaborate with medical, scientific, and operational leaders and physician consultants to translate research and insights into high-quality, publication-ready materials.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in the sciences, English, communications, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience developing medical or scientific publications, ideally within a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, healthcare, clinical research, or medical communications environment.
• Demonstrated experience authoring, editing, and submitting manuscripts to peer-reviewed medical journals.
• Experience managing publications from concept through submission and, ideally, through peer review and publication.
• Ability to translate complex scientific and operational data into clear, accurate, and compelling narratives appropriate for peer-reviewed publication.
• Strong literature search, critical appraisal, scientific writing, and editing skills.
• Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage timelines, coordinate multiple stakeholders, and keep projects moving toward publication.
• Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to effectively navigate feedback and differing perspectives from physician authors, scientific leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a freelance environment.
• Ability to manage urgent deadlines and changing priorities while maintaining quality and scientific rigor.

Mansioni

• Collaborate with internal medical, scientific, and operational leaders and external physician consultants to inform publication strategy and develop a short-term publication roadmap.
• Lead the development and execution of publication plans, with focus on manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and other peer-reviewed communications.
• Gather, evaluate, and analyze data from research studies, site-network performance, study results, and supporting documentation, translating findings into written summaries and visuals.
• Serve as project owner for publication initiatives from initiation through submission and publication, including timelines and stakeholder coordination.
• Conduct comprehensive literature reviews to inform context, benchmarks, claims, and strategy.
• Present insights to internal stakeholders and physician authors to align on publication approach and messaging.
• Develop manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and other communications per priorities and guidelines.
• Partner with Marketing to translate plans into external communications while maintaining scientific accuracy.
• Manage multiple projects with quality deliverables and deadlines.
• Build relationships with physician authors, scientific leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
