Job summary

Iterative Health is seeking an experienced freelance Medical Writer to lead development, finalization, and submission of peer‑reviewed publications, abstracts, posters, and related scientific communications. You will work with medical, scientific, and operational leaders and physician experts to translate research insights into high‑quality materials.

The role is freelance/1099 through year-end with potential renewal in 2027, approximately 15–20 hours per week, and major deliverables include two

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in the sciences, English, communications, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience developing medical or scientific publications.
• Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong literature search, critical appraisal and editing skills.
• Ability to manage timelines and coordinate stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of publication plans for manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and other communications.
• Gather, evaluate and synthesize data from studies and site networks into clear summaries.
• Serve as project owner for publication initiatives from start to submission.
• Conduct literature reviews to inform scientific context and strategy.
• Translate findings into compelling narratives and data visualizations.
• Collaborate with Marketing to align scientific content with communication standards.
• Manage multiple projects with deadlines and maintain quality.
• Build relationships with physician authors and cross‑functional teams.
