Job summary

SentiLink is hiring an Applied ML Scientist to build models that identify fraudsters and expand our financial risk product suite. This role suits new PhD graduates or early-career researchers applying ML to real-world fraud detection, with end-to-end ownership from research to production deployment.

You’ll work across teams, ship production-ready code, and gain hands-on experience in a fast-moving, industry setting. Remote within the U.S. with preference for Austin, SF, or NYC offices.

Qualifications

• Degree in Statistics, CS, Physics, Mathematics or related quantitative field.
• Strong foundation in ML, statistics, or applied data science.
• Experience with Python and data science tools in coursework or projects.
• Ability to analyze complex problems and build data-driven solutions.
• Strong communication skills to explain technical ideas clearly.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain fraud detection models through the full lifecycle.
• Build modeling to drive Fraud and Financial Risk products.
• Research new fraud types and identity verification products.
• Design and perform analyses to inform data acquisition, product development, and risk priorities.
• Write production-ready code for real-time decision making by partners.
• Collaborate with engineering, risk ops, and data acquisitions teams.
