Job summary

SentiLink is hiring an Applied Scientist to build fraud-detection models and expand risk products. This role focuses on applying machine learning to real-world fraud detection, with end-to-end ownership from research to deployment in production.

We offer remote-friendly work within the United States, with a preference for candidates who can be in the Austin, San Francisco, or New York offices periodically.

Qualifications

• PhD/MS in Statistics, CS, Physics, Mathematics, or related quantitative field or equivalent experience/research.
• Strong foundation in machine learning, statistics, or applied data science.
• Experience with Python and common data science tools.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex problems and build data-driven solutions.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical ideas clearly.
• Interest in fraud, identity, and financial risk systems.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable code.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and reside in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain fraud-detection models through the full model development lifecycle.
• Build foundational modeling to drive expanding Fraud and Financial Risk products.
• Research new types of fraud and develop new SentiLink products around identity verification.
• Iterate and engineer features by integrating new data sources.
• Write production-ready code for real-time decision making by partners.
• Design and present analyses to inform data acquisition, product development, risk operations and sales.
• Collaborate with engineering, risk operations, and data acquisitions to access data and maintain quality.
