Lever, Inc. is seeking a Fraud Analyst based in Europe to protect a growing digital rewards platform. You will investigate fraud signals, segment users, and help shape verification strategies across markets, including facial verification, ID scanning, and phone checks.

You will work with product, data, and analytics teams to evolve detection rules and controls, ensuring effective fraud prevention as user behavior changes. This remote-friendly role offers international collaboration.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience using data to investigate fraud and influence detection decisions.
• Experience designing, evaluating, or improving fraud signals, segmentation models, detection rules, or manual review processes.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to identify patterns, anomalies, and data gaps.
• Understanding of how fraud tactics evolve and ability to adapt detection strategies.
• Ability to translate insights into practical, operational fraud controls and recommendations.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with product, data, and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Regularly review, evaluate, and refine fraud signals to distinguish suspicious activity from legitimate users, including indicators like IP spoofing, VPN usage, and unusual gameplay patterns.
• Own the fraud-related segments within the broader user segmentation system, determining how signals should be interpreted and monitoring the effectiveness of fraud categories over time.
• Analyze emerging fraud patterns and identify changes needed to detection rules, segments, and verification processes.
• Partner with product teams to define and improve fraud verification approaches across different markets, considering solutions like facial verification, ID scanning, and phone verification.
• Investigate users and cases flagged for manual review, including ambiguous cases, and identify opportunities to make the review process more efficient and consistent.
• Identify gaps in existing fraud signals and data sources, and recommend relevant third-party tools or solutions for the product roadmap.
• Translate analytical findings into practical fraud controls and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure controls remain effective as fraud tactics evolve.
