Job summary

Altera is seeking a Field Applications Engineer to drive FPGA adoption and provide technical guidance to customers from Maryland and across the US, working remotely.

You will collaborate with Field Sales Engineers, FAEs, Factory Applications Engineers, Product Marketing, and Business Development to define architectures, evaluate solutions, and deliver demonstrations that showcase FPGA benefits for complex customer applications.

Qualifications

• Experience in FPGA, ASIC, and/or digital design.
• Experience with FPGA development tools (Quartus, Vivado, etc.).
• Proficiency with HDL (VHDL, Verilog, SystemVerilog, OpenCL or HLS).

Responsibilities

• Drive FPGA adoption at key customer accounts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, FAEs, and product marketing.
• Build relationships with customer engineering teams to identify opportunities and ensure satisfaction.
• Provide architecture definition, solution evaluation, and design support using FPGAs, IP, and development tools.
