Job summary

LER TechForce is seeking an Embedded Firmware & FPGA Engineer to develop FPGA-based power management solutions, with on-site in Metro Detroit or remote within the Eastern or Central US time zones.

You will design, verify, and optimize RTL using Verilog/SystemVerilog and VHDL, collaborating with firmware, controls, and hardware teams to bring next-generation SiC-based systems to production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Engineering with 5+ years in FPGA/CPLD or digital hardware design.
• Experience delivering synthesizable RTL in VHDL/Verilog/SystemVerilog.
• Familiarity with FPGA toolchains: RTL simulation, synthesis, timing analysis, hardware validation.
• Strong understanding of digital design, FSMs, pipelining, clocking, reset architecture, and resource optimization.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, verify, test, and release FPGA-based designs for power management applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate FPGA with microcontrollers, DSPs, ADCs, DACs and interfaces (SPI/I2C/UART/CAN/Ethernet).
• Develop testbenches and perform RTL simulation and functional verification.
• Conduct synthesis, place-and-route, and timing closure; resolve timing/resource issues.
• Lead design reviews and code reviews; participate in root-cause investigations.
• Provide support for board Bring-Up, debugging, and field performance.
