Eaton’s Electrical Critical Power Solutions Division in Youngsville, NC seeks an Embedded Firmware & FPGA Engineer to architect, design, verify, and release FPGA-based solutions for next-generation power management products.

You will collaborate with global teams to bring SiC-based three-phase power conversion systems to market, including support for data centers’ critical loads. Strong RTL, FPGA, and embedded skills are required.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with internship in embedded software/firmware.
• Experience with synthesizable RTL using VHDL/Verilog/SystemVerilog.
• Experience with FPGA design workflows: RTL development, simulation, synthesis, timing, hardware validation.
• Experience with power electronics or real-time embedded products is a plus.

Mansioni

• Architect, develop, verify, test, and release FPGA-based designs for new products.
• Translate system-level specs into FPGA architecture and detailed design requirements.
• Design, develop, review, and maintain RTL using Verilog, SystemVerilog, or VHDL.
• Develop testbenches and perform RTL simulation and verification.
• Perform synthesis, place-and-route, timing analysis, and timing closure.
• Design FPGA interfaces with microcontrollers, DSPs, ADCs/DACs, and network interfaces.
• Support board bring-up and debugging with oscilloscopes and JTAG tools.
• Participate in design reviews and root-cause investigations.
