Job summary

ESS is seeking an FP&A Manager to lead budgeting, forecasting and performance storytelling. You’ll own the planning process, develop a team of analysts and partner with senior operations and executives to drive better decisions.

Based on the East Coast and remote, this role blends hands-on financial analysis with leadership, focusing on acquisitions, pricing strategy and long-range planning to support ESS growth across districts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2–4 years of FP&A, corporate finance, accounting or related analytical role.
• Experience supporting budgets, forecasts or variance analysis.
• Clear written and verbal communication; ability to explain numbers to non-finance colleagues.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage several deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Set standards for models, reporting and documentation across the team.
• Own the annual budget and long-range planning with timelines and assumptions.
• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual forecasts with leadership input.
• Explain variances and drive recommendations to senior leadership.
• Own Workday Adaptive Planning and dashboards; automate reporting.
