Job summary

Canonical is seeking a Head of Financial Planning & Analysis to lead the global FP&A teams and shape the finance function across regions. You will own monthly reviews, forecasting, annual planning, and drive cross-functional alignment while developing the long-term FP&A roadmap.

The role requires a highly analytical leader who can translate data into strategic guidance for the executive team. This remote position supports AMER or EMEA time zones, with an optional base in our London office.

Qualifications

• Academic excellence and leadership experience.
• Ability to lead a multi-currency, multi-geography tech business.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Proficiency in spreadsheets, financial modeling and BI tools.
• Professional written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Develop executive reporting dashboards and board materials.
• Analyse and report monthly results, KPIs, and forecasts.
• Provide commercial analysis, growth targets and evaluate initiatives.
• Collaborate with product managers on market insights and competitive intelligence.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning.
• Drive data analysis improvements and appropriate modeling techniques.
• Support month-end close and financial reporting processes.
• Lead multi-functional change projects to improve systems and data accuracy.
• Contribute to IPO-related financial document preparation.
• Guide FP&A activity calendar and support executive decision-making.
• Mentor FP&A and peer teams; control costs through spend reviews.
