Job summary

Harvard University is seeking a Director of Financial Planning and Analysis at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. You will lead a three-person finance team, manage a $400M+ operating budget, and shape long-range financial strategy in a highly visible role.

The position is predominantly remote with occasional on-site meetings, reporting to the CFO and partnering with school leaders to ensure sustainable resource allocation and fiscal performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in sponsored research finance or similar.
• Supervisory experience and ability to lead teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic financial planning, budgeting, and presentation for the School.
• Oversee multi-year financial planning and monthly forecasts.
• Develop and improve management reporting for executives and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with departments to align capital, IT, and financial plans.
• Provide actionable insights to inform resource allocation and investments.
