Job summary

Harvard University’s Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health is seeking a Director of Financial Planning and Analysis to guide the financial strategy for a $400M+ operating budget. You will lead a team of three analysts and partner with the CFO to deliver forecasts, budgets, and actionable insights across departments.

The role emphasizes strategic thinking, leadership, and clear communication with senior leaders, with primarily remote work and occasional in-person meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Minimum of 10 years’ relevant work experience.
• 7+ years of experience in sponsored research finance within higher education/healthcare environments; higher education preferred.
• Supervisory experience required.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee all aspects of the School’s annual budget process.
• Develop multi-year financial plan and modeling scenarios.
• Oversee management reporting for the CFO and stakeholders.
• Lead monthly forecasts and ad hoc analyses.
• Translate financial data into clear narratives for leadership.
