Job summary

Thoropass is seeking an FP&A analyst to join our New York-based team. You will build and maintain the financial models, forecasts, and reporting that leadership relies on, and you’ll get meaningful exposure to how a company is actually run.

Day to day, you will support the annual budget and rolling forecast, help prepare monthly financial reviews, and track key SaaS unit economics such as Gross Margin, NDR, CAC, and LTV.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, ideally in investment banking; FP&A, consulting, or transaction-advisory also considered.
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel and financial modeling, with ability to build models from scratch.
• Experience with G Suite; exposure to Salesforce and BI tools is a plus.
• Analytical mindset with ability to derive insights from data and support operating decisions.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently in a fast-moving environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to present analyses clearly.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the company’s annual budget and rolling forecast.
• Update forecasts based on actual performance and market conditions.
• Prepare detailed financial plans, projections, and supporting schedules.
• Create materials for monthly financial reviews with department leaders.
• Analyze budget-to-actual variances and identify key drivers.
• Package findings into clear, actionable insights for leadership.
• Calculate and track SaaS unit economics (Gross Margin, NDR, CAC, LTV).
• Maintain headcount and hiring tracker; support people-cost planning.
• Build and maintain recurring financial reports and dashboards.
• Develop financial models using bottoms-up and top-down approaches; run scenarios.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to improve planning accuracy.
• Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and tools.
• Conduct ad-hoc financial analyses to support decision-making.
