Job summary

Thoropass, a compliance automation company based in New York, is seeking an FP&A Analyst to join its Financial Planning & Analysis team. This role offers high‑visibility exposure to operating decisions in a fast‑growing SaaS environment, reporting to the FP&A Director.

You will build and maintain financial models, forecasts, and monthly reports, supporting the annual budget and rolling forecast, and tracking key SaaS metrics such as Gross Margin, NDR, CAC, and LTV.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, ideally in investment banking; FP&A, consulting, or transaction-advisory experience will also be considered.
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel and financial modeling, with the ability to build models from scratch using bottoms‑up and top‑down approaches.
• Experience with G Suite; exposure to financial systems, Salesforce, and BI tools is a plus.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to draw insights from data and understand operational drivers.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently in a fast‑moving environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build clean, management‑ready presentations and analyses.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or another analytical field.

Responsibilities

• Budgeting & Forecasting: support the development and maintenance of the annual budget and rolling forecast.
• Monthly financial reviews: prepare materials and analyze variances for leadership reviews.
• Unit economics & analysis: track SaaS metrics like Gross Margin, NDR, CAC, and LTV.
• Headcount & hiring: maintain headcount tracker and cost planning data.
• Financial reporting: build and maintain recurring reports and dashboards.
• Financial modeling: develop models using bottoms‑up and top‑down approaches.
• Cross‑functional collaboration: work with teams to gather data and validate assumptions.
• Process improvement: identify ways to streamline FP&A processes and tools.
• Ad‑hoc analysis: perform modeling to support decisions.
