Job summary

Recruiting From Scratch is seeking a Founding Engineer in San Francisco, CA (on-site) to build and own the platform architecture for securing AI agents and enterprise AI infrastructure.

You will shape technical direction, work with founders, and ship real-time security and data systems for enterprise customers, including handling scalable, low-latency telemetry and AI-related workloads.

Qualifications

• 0–5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including internship or early-career experience.
• Strong backend or full-stack engineering background.
• Proven experience shipping production software.
• Experience building and deploying production systems at high-quality engineering organizations.
• Experience owning technical features or systems end-to-end.
• Strong ability to operate in highly ambiguous and fast-moving environments.

Responsibilities

• Own and ship end-to-end product features for enterprise customers.
• Build data plane for ingesting an enterprise's AI footprint.
• Design high-volume data ingestion systems for heterogeneous telemetry.
• Build real-time detection and policy enforcement systems.
• Architect scalable real-time data infrastructure for AI workloads.
• Work directly with enterprise customers during proofs-of-concept and deployments.
• Ship capabilities in response to customer requirements and feedback.
• Develop security systems to evaluate AI agent behavior in real time.
