Aran Industries is seeking an engineer to own end-to-end thermal and HVAC design automation for data center and industrial projects. You’ll deliver real mechanical engineering on live projects while building a parametric engine that generates designs for future sites.

The role emphasizes physics, trade-offs, and ability to ship code using AI tools. Remote (US/Canada) with base salary range and equity opportunities.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and thermodynamics.
• Hands-on experience building real physical systems at leading tech firms.
• Ability to ship code using AI tools without a software background.
• Capable of solving engineering problems from first principles.

Responsibilities

• Deliver complete mechanical/HVAC packages for data center projects, including sizing and P&IDs.
• Create a parametric thermal/HVAC engine for all data center sites.
• Automate system sizing, equipment selection, and design optimization.
• Integrate mechanical designs with electrical and structural systems so changes propagate across disciplines.
• Develop workflows with AI coding agents to ship code.
