Job summary

Bausch + Lomb is building a new Digital Health Services platform and seeks a hands-on Head of Technology to set architecture, select partners, and establish an engineering culture from day one. You will lead AI/ML initiatives, ensure HIPAA-compliant data governance, and drive interoperability with EHR systems in a fast-moving, clinical environment.

This pivotal role reports to the President of Digital Health Services and is available to US-based candidates, including remote work.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software engineering with senior technical leadership experience.
• Proven track record delivering architecture from concept to production.
• Hands-on builder mentality with ability to code when needed.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end technical architecture, cloud infra, and data platform.
• Evaluate build vs. buy vs. partner options for core tech components.
• Ensure HL7 FHIR interoperability and scalable patient-facing architecture.
• Own HIPAA compliance, data governance, audit logging, and access controls.
• Lead AI model selection, evaluation, deployment, and governance.
• Set engineering culture and hiring practices for scale.
