Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher with 6+ years of nonprofit fundraising success; advanced degree may substitute for up to 2 years.
• Exceptional writing, communication, and presentation skills.
• Integrity, discretion and high standards; comfort with donor interactions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment.
• Strong planning, organization, and time management skills; ability to manage multiple projects.
• Ability to work with a wide range of people and cultures.
• Experience with donor tracking software (preferably Salesforce).

Responsibilities

• Initiate and grow relationships with prospective foundation donors and cultivate new avenues of support.
• Develop and execute donor cultivation plans aligned with EDF priorities.
• Prepare proposals, reports, and donor materials with program staff and grant writers.
• Provide strategic talking points and briefing materials for donor interactions.
• Attend meetings with foundation representatives to deepen relationships.
• Maintain donor records and forecasts in Salesforce with cross-team collaboration.
• Understand EDF programs to effectively communicate impact to donors.
• Collaborate with Global Development, finance, and leadership on fundraising strategy.
• Monitor engagement metrics and portfolio performance using donor management software.
• Contribute to achieving fundraising and stewardship goals.
