Job summary

Friends of the Earth U.S. seeks an Executive Advisor, Strategic Partnerships, to secure major philanthropic investments from foundations and institutional funders. You will manage a select portfolio and work with senior leaders to advance priority initiatives.

This remote, full-time role offers an annual salary of $140,000–$160,000, with a probationary period. The position requires up to 15% travel and does not offer visa sponsorship.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in institutional fundraising, foundation relations, and/or program leadership
• Proven success securing high six- or seven-figure philanthropic investments
• Experience managing complex funder portfolios and achieving ambitious fundraising goals
• Experience developing and executing cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies
• Strong relationship management and proposal/presentation skills
• Ability to analyze philanthropic trends and translate insights into fundraising strategy
• Willingness to travel up to 15% domestically
• Authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship not available

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of select foundations and institutional funders with significant revenue potential
• Develop and execute cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, and partnership strategies
• Lead fundraising engagements with organizational leadership and program staff
• Achieve annual fundraising and portfolio growth goals through effective solicitation and renewals
• Coordinate with senior leaders to maximize funding opportunities
• Provide guidance on proposal positioning and funding communications
