Job summary

Children's Wisconsin is seeking a part-time Program Coordinator to oversee the foster parent engagement program, aimed at reducing withdrawals and improving retention. You will help align mission and values, and connect foster families with available resources.

The role involves regular communication, recognition efforts, and collaboration with program leadership and public relations, plus data collection and reporting to track outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Marketing or related field required.
• Child welfare, foster care licensing and/or adoption experience preferred.
• Requires a valid Wisconsin driver’s license.
• Strong computer skills required.
• Experience working with families of diverse ethnic, cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds strongly preferred.
• Public speaking experience preferred.
• Bilingual preferred.
• Strong internal and external verbal and written communication skills.
• Problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Flexible 1st shift schedule, 20 hours/week while working remotely from home and/or in the office.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the foster parent engagement program with the goal of reducing withdrawals or closures.
• Leads performance and coordination of foster parent retention.
• Creates a shared foster parent mission and values.
• Builds connections to foster family communities.
• Ensures foster parents are informed of available resources.
• Provides consistent communication, encouragement, and recognition to foster families.
• May work with public relations staff and program leadership.
• Participates in data collection and reporting activities.
