Job summary

BigRio is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer Lead to bridge our AI Modernization Factory with delivery teams. You will embed with client teams to drive modernization, set up cloud-native architectures on AWS, and lead a growing FDE group.

As a senior leader, you will mentor engineers, codify playbooks, and push AI-assisted SDLC adoption, DevSecOps, and scalable CI/CD pipelines while delivering high-impact modernization outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive software engineering experience with enterprise apps.
• Strong full-stack proficiency across front-end, back-end, database and infra.
• Deep AWS cloud-native experience with Terraform for IaC.
• Proven consulting, change management and leadership within teams.
• Hands-on CI/CD and DevSecOps expertise.
• Knowledge of microservices, serverless and DDD principles.

Responsibilities

• Embed with application teams to lead modernization into AWS-native architectures.
• Direct and mentor a team of FDEs, establish playbooks and best practices.
• Drive AI-first SDLC adoption and upskill team members.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement people/process improvements.
• Contribute code focusing on CI/CD pipelines, IaC, and integration.
• Maintain standards for Twelve-Factor App, DevSecOps, and quality.
