Job summary

Harness is seeking Forward Deployed Engineers to work inside enterprise engineering teams, designing and building AI-native automation on the Harness platform. This hands-on, code-first role requires writing production code and connecting Harness AI Agents into a customer's existing pipelines and security stack.

You will prototype rapidly, ship increments, and collaborate directly with customer engineers to deliver practical software rather than documentation.

Qualifications

• Platform engineering or software engineering background with hands-on coding and integration ability.
• Experience building integrations against APIs, event-driven systems, or LLM/agent orchestration frameworks.
• Past forward-deployed, solutions engineering or embedded consulting roles focused on working software.

Responsibilities

• Embed inside a customer's engineering organization for the length of a build to design and build agent-driven automation.
• Write production code connecting Harness AI Agents to a customer's pipelines, repositories, ITSM tooling, security systems, and infrastructure.
• Partner with customer engineers and Harness delivery teams to turn an approved plan into working software.
• Prototype quickly, ship incrementally, and iterate directly with customer engineers.
• Turn builds into reusable patterns and share with the Harness delivery organization.
• Provide direct feedback to product and engineering based on live customer work.
• Support transition from custom build to steady-state operation for customer independence.
