Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an experienced Network Engineer focused on Fortinet technologies to design, deploy, and migrate security infrastructure for client sites. The role emphasizes FortiGate, FortiSwitch, and FortiAP, with greenfield deployments, ongoing optimization, and migrations from legacy platforms.

The position is remote, with periodic travel for implementation and hands-on commissioning. Strong communication skills are essential to guide on-site staff and ensure successful deployments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on network engineering with Fortinet products in deployment, management, and migration roles.
• Experience deploying and migrating firewalls, switches, and wireless infrastructure in production environments.
• Fortinet NSE 4 or higher strongly preferred; equivalent certifications a plus.
• Bachelor’s or associate degree in IT/CS or equivalent professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and deploy FortiGate firewalls, FortiSwitch switches, and FortiAP access points for new sites and projects.
• Build firewall policies, routing, VPNs, VLANs, and wireless SSIDs to meet security and performance requirements.
• Migrate from legacy or third-party platforms to Fortinet, including validation and rollback planning.
• Administer, monitor, and optimize Fortinet infrastructure with health monitoring and licensing management.
• Coordinate with vendors and provide clear, step-by-step guidance during remote hands and on-site deployments.
