Job summary

Reliable Forklift Sales is seeking a diligent Technical Support Specialist to join our team in San Diego, with remote support options. You will be the primary technical contact, diagnosing and solving mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues across our forklift range, and guiding customers and field engineers through repair steps.

You will document interactions in our CRM, contribute to knowledge base articles, and collaborate with service and engineering to resolve complex challenges.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in technical support or field service in heavy equipment or industrial machinery.
• Strong practical understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic principles.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to explain complex technical information.
• Experience with CRM software (Salesforce, Zendesk) and MS Office.
• Ability to work independently and in a team in a fast-paced environment.
• A technical qualification or apprenticeship is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely and accurate technical support to customers and service technicians via telephone, email, and portal.
• Diagnose and resolve faults on forklift models.
• Guide clients and field engineers through step-by-step solutions and repair procedures.
• Identify and recommend spare parts using diagrams and internal catalogs.
• Document customer interactions and resolutions in CRM.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and knowledge base articles.
• Collaborate with service and engineering to escalate and resolve challenges.
• Analyse support case trends to feedback for product improvement.
