Job summary
LVI Associates is seeking a mid-level Forensic Structural Engineer in the Denver area for investigations, repair design and consulting on residential and commercial projects. You will conduct field visits, document findings, support repair reports and perform structural calculations to inform repair strategies.
The role is flexible and primarily remote with regular collaboration across our engineering team.
Qualifications
- ABET-accredited Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- 4–8 years of structural design, investigation, or diagnostics.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required in Colorado.
- Experience with RISA, Enercalc or similar; AutoCAD or Revit.
- Knowledge of building codes and construction practices.
- Strong communication and time-management skills.
- Willingness to travel locally and occasional out-of-state work.
- Based in or willing to relocate to the Denver area.
Responsibilities
- Conduct field investigations of damaged structures and document findings.
- Assist with repair recommendations and prepare reports.
- Perform structural calculations and support design/drafting for repairs.
- Coordinate with clients and internal teams across multiple assignments.
- Support small new construction projects as needed.
