Job summary

Lvi-Associates is seeking a mid-level Forensic Structural Engineer in Denver, Colorado. The position is remote-friendly and involves investigations of damaged structures, repair design, and consulting on residential and commercial projects.

The candidate should have a CO PE license, ABET-accredited Civil/Structural degree, 4–8 years of relevant experience, and fluency with RISA, Enercalc, AutoCAD or Revit. Local travel and occasional out-of-state work are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (ABET accredited).
• 4 to 8 years of experience in structural design, investigation, or diagnostics.
• PE licensed in CO.
• Experience with RISA, Enercalc or similar, plus AutoCAD or Revit.
• Knowledge of building codes and construction practices.
• Strong communication and time management skills.
• Ability to perform site visits including roof access and confined spaces.
• Willingness to travel locally with occasional out of state work.
• Based in or willing to relocate to the Denver area.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field investigations of damaged structures and document findings.
• Assist with repair recommendations and reports and perform structural calculations.
• Support design and drafting for repairs, additions, and small new construction projects.
• Help manage multiple assignments and coordinate with clients and internal teams.
