Job summary

Haag, a Salas O’Brien company, is seeking a Forensic Structural Engineer II for the Miami or Fort Myers area. In this remote/home-office role, you will investigate and evaluate the cause and extent of structural damage from storms, disasters, fires, defects, and accidents. The position requires a B.S.

in Civil or Structural Engineering (ABET), 2+ years forensic experience, a FL P.E. or reciprocity eligibility, and strong technical writing and client communication skills.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of forensic engineering experience preferred.
• PE license in FL or eligible by reciprocity.
• B.S. in Civil or Structural Engineering from ABET-accredited university.
• Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections to determine the cause, origin, and extent of structural damage.
• Develop clear, well-supported conclusions and produce high-quality reports and deliverables.
• Provide timely, professional updates to clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
