UtiliSave LLC is seeking an entry-level Forensic Regulatory Data Analyst to perform deep forensic utility bill analyses for large commercial and industrial clients. The role emphasizes absorbing complex billing rules, tariff schedules, and regulatory codes to uncover refunds and savings across multiple jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience or equivalent in rule-based systems and analytics.
• Undergraduate degree completed; STEM/economics/regulatory fields preferred.
• Proficiency in Python used daily to extract and analyze data.

Responsibilities

• Apply analytical skills to identify cost savings using proprietary tools and client data.
• Absorb billing rules, tariff schedules, and regulatory frameworks to uncover errors and misapplied rates.
• Conduct retroactive audits across six years or more to maximize recoveries.
• Interface with clients, utility companies and regulators to implement savings.
• Develop novel claim theories that withstand regulatory scrutiny and write persuasive filings.
• Draft clear written claim submissions and regulatory correspondence.
• Pivot quickly across accounts, jurisdictions, and claim types as opportunities surface.
• Maintain meticulous records of all open claims and recovery outcomes.
• Collaborate with MIS group to build tools that improve reviews and revenue.
