Job summary

Summit Utilities, Inc. seeks a Senior Regulatory Accounting Analyst to support monthly and annual regulatory filings and the proper coding of transactions under FERC USOA. This role will collaborate with Regulatory Affairs and Rates teams to advance regulatory initiatives and rate settings.

You will review data for accuracy, ensure compliance with FERC requirements, and assist with the implementation of financial systems while coordinating a remote team across multiple states.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible experience in a similar role.
• Experience in a regulated environment and with FERC USOA requirements.
• Ability to work in a remote environment and coordinate remote team members.

Responsibilities

• Review financials to ensure correct recording of utility accounting transactions per FERC USOA guidelines.
• Partner with Regulatory Affairs and Regulatory Finance & Rates to support regulatory processes and rate setting.
• Compile and validate data for monthly/annual regulatory filings and rate case filings.
• Review data prepared by others in response to rate case data requests.
• Analyze financial data by FERC account and identify variances in trends.
• Support regulatory asset/liability balances and perform reconciliations.
