Job summary

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking a Forensic Program Specialist 1 with Westmoreland County BHDS to support individuals with mental health needs as they navigate the criminal justice system. You will guide clients toward resources to improve stability and quality of life.

Responsibilities include coordinating services, documenting case details, and collaborating with courts, crisis services, and providers.

Qualifications

• Two years of professional level experience in mental health
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of experience and training

Responsibilities

• Coordinate clients with mental health needs through education, planning, and resource identification
• Develop strategies to address challenges for people moving through the criminal justice system
• Collaborate with courts, crisis services, probation, providers, and partners to explore diversion options
• Maintain an updated list of services including treatment, housing, vocational supports, transportation, and other needs
• Record service contacts and case details in a clear and timely manner
• Provide information and outreach to criminal justice professionals and community partners
