Job summary

Gates Corporation is seeking a Business Development Manager for the Food & Beverage Market in the Americas, focusing on profitable growth in the US and Canada. The role reports to the Director - Industrial Growth, Commercial, Americas and integrates sales and marketing strategies across the Power Transmission portfolio.

You will engage with processors, OEMs, and end-users, aligning local plans with the Americas Strategic Plan while traveling up to 50% to build a robust pipeline and win major

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or Business.
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience with at least 3 years experience in the industrial market.
• Background with food and beverage manufacturing equipment is preferred.
• Travel for this role is allotted at 30-50%.
• Must possess a strong business acumen and be an experienced, self-directed leader capable of planning, organizing, developing & directing key account plans/projects in a professional and logical manner.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a multi-year business plan aligned with the Americas Strategic Plan, delivering profitable growth.
• Lead market and technical voice for food and beverage processors and OEMs by translating plant architectures into strategies.
• Identify stakeholders within food and beverage manufacturing and processing organizations.
• Monitor and translate regulatory changes (FDA, USDA, EHEDG) into opportunities for Gates products.
• Coordinate sales efforts across the Power Transmission products portfolio.
• Develop and maintain a prioritized list of strategic targets and opportunities.
