Job summary

Aiken Technical College is seeking an adjunct instructor in Computer Technology to join our team. Classes may meet daytime, evenings, weekends, or online, with possible split schedules and dual enrollment teaching in high schools.

Responsibilities include hands-on and theoretical instruction, syllabus development, and supervising students. A master’s degree in a related field is required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related discipline or a Master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours in Computer Science.

Responsibilities

• Instruction including hands on and theory, classroom management, and administrative tasks that may include reports, syllabus and lesson plan development.
• Prepare and/or maintain current course syllabi for course taught.
• Ensure that course is taught in accordance with the established syllabi.
• Recommend for approval adequate instructional materials for course.
• Recommend adequate laboratory facilities/equipment for assigned course.
• Supervision of students.
