Job summary

Coinbase is seeking an Infrastructure Lead on the Exchange team to own the platform infrastructure, deployment, and tooling behind a unified trading system that spans cloud and on-prem/colocated venues. You will keep latency-sensitive environments fast, reliable, and easy to build on, while mentoring engineers and shaping the roadmap with other teams.

Qualifications

Minimum 8+ years in infrastructure, SRE, or platform engineering with production ownership.
Proven track record in latency-sensitive trading environments and on-prem/colocated deployments.
Strong skills in Linux networking, orchestration tooling, and observability.

Responsibilities

Own infrastructure, deployment, and operational tooling for latency-sensitive, multi-node trading environments across cloud and on-prem.
Drive reliability and developer velocity, owning observability, deploy safety, and incident response 24/7.
Set the operational bar through standards, reviews, and automation to reduce single-point failures.
Partner with engineers to keep latency-sensitive systems operable and performant.
Mentor engineers and build resilience in a lean, high-impact team.
Collaborate with Product, Institutional Markets, and SRE to map platform needs to a roadmap.
