Job summary

Coinbase is hiring an Infrastructure Lead for the Exchange team. You will own the infrastructure, deployment, and operational tooling behind a unified trading platform across cloud and on-prem/colocated venues, ensuring fast, reliable, and scalable latency-sensitive environments.

You will mentor engineers, drive reliability and velocity, and partner with Product, Institutional Markets, and SRE to shape the platform roadmap.

Qualifications

• Ownership of production infrastructure at scale.
• Experience running latency-sensitive trading infrastructure.
• Strong skills with orchestration and containerized deployments.
• Solid Linux performance and networking fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Own infrastructure, deployment, and tooling for latency-sensitive trading environments across cloud and on-prem.
• Drive reliability and developer velocity, including observability and incident response.
• Set operational standards and reduce single-point-of-failure risks in the trading stack.
• Partner with engineers to ensure latency-sensitive systems are operable and performant.
• Mentor engineers and build team resilience in a lean, high-impact environment.
• Collaborate with Product, Institutional Markets, and SRE to translate needs into a roadmap.
