Job summary

Recare Deutschland GmbH is seeking a Senior AI Data Platform Engineer to own the data backbone powering AI products. You will build reliable ingestion and processing pipelines (batch/streaming) and design secure, scalable platforms for healthcare data.

You will collaborate with BI and Product Data teams, define APIs, ensure data provenance, and drive observability and cost controls in a remote-friendly, flexible work environment.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering fundamentals with emphasis on reliability.
• Experience building production-grade data and ingestion systems under real reliability constraints.
• Hands-on with asynchronous processing systems (queues, workers).
• Comfort owning service APIs and data contracts across teams.
• Experience with AWS and cloud-native architectures (IAM, encryption, event-driven).
• Ability to design observability through metrics, logs, traces and runbooks.
• Experience with healthcare or regulated data environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve ingestion and processing backbone (batch/streaming) with idempotency and fault isolation.
• Design and operate asynchronous processing systems for heavy AI workloads.
• Define and maintain API contracts and data schemas across producers/consumers.
• Own data lifecycle primitives including encryption, retention, and right-to-erasure.
• Design secure service-to-service authentication for cross-boundary synchronization.
• Build platform primitives for status tracking, feature gating, and multi-tenant isolation.
• Build and maintain serving layers for ML/AI workloads with versioned data views.
• Drive observability, runbooks, and cost/performance guardrails.
• Collaborate with BI and Product Data teams to expose clean datasets.
