Job summary

Cardinal Health seeks a seasoned Manager of Security Engineering & Platforms to lead teams managing critical cybersecurity technologies and platforms across enterprise operations. You will drive strategy, optimize security tooling, and ensure reliable service delivery for detection, response, and cyber defense programs.

The role emphasizes people leadership, technical vision, and collaboration with architecture and business stakeholders to mature security platforms and automation capabilities.

Qualifications

• Ability to lead and motivate technical teams while balancing operational, strategic, and organizational priorities.
• Experience managing cybersecurity platforms, infrastructure, or engineering functions.
• Experience leading technical teams in cybersecurity, information technology, or related disciplines.
• Experience supporting enterprise security technologies and the infrastructure that enables them.
• Experience developing operational processes and support models for complex technical environments.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and modern enterprise technology environments.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, security operations, and defensive security technologies.
• Experience with scripting, automation, and API-based integrations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop multiple Security Engineering & Platform teams, including supervisors, engineers, and technical specialists.
• Establish strategic direction and roadmaps for cybersecurity platforms and engineering capabilities.
• Collaborate with internal customers, technology teams, cybersecurity teams, and business stakeholders.
• Mentor team members and support their professional and technical development.
• Oversee administration, support, and optimization of enterprise security monitoring, automation, and cyber defense platforms.
• Drive automation initiatives through orchestration platforms, scripting, APIs, and engineering best practices.
• Ensure platforms are monitored, maintained, and continuously improved to maximize security effectiveness and operational efficiency.
• Lead platform lifecycle activities, including upgrades, migrations, integrations, and modernization efforts.
• Support incident response and security operations teams through reliable platform engineering and service delivery.
