Job summary

Coalition Inc. is seeking a Reserving Actuarial Analyst to lead quarterly reserving and profit share analyses across multiple P&C lines.

You will collaborate with finance, claims, engineering, and underwriting to translate data into actionable insights that improve financial reporting and decision making. You will refine methodologies, explain loss drivers, and prepare senior-management-ready reports while driving automation and scalability in reserving processes.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of P&C actuarial experience with reserving and financial reporting.
• Progress toward ACAS/FCAS through exams and ongoing study.
• Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, computer science, statistics, or related field.
• Strong Excel skills for building and maintaining actuarial models and summaries.
• Experience with large datasets; familiarity with SQL, R, or Python for data manipulation and analysis.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform quarterly reserve analyses and profit share analyses to support accurate booked reserves and financial reporting.
• Extract, transform, and analyze large datasets to build reserving exhibits, reserve triangles, and dashboards.
• Partner with Claims, Finance, Underwriting, and other teams to understand loss drivers and trends and their impact on reserves.
• Refine reserving methodologies, assumptions, and governance to improve consistency and control.
• Prepare actuarial reports and presentations for senior management, regulators, and stakeholders.
• Contribute to process improvements and automation to make analyses more efficient and scalable.
