Qualifications

• Backend development experience in production systems.
• Proficient in Ruby or Go; willingness to learn Ruby if using Go.
• Experience with large-scale systems, performance and reliability.
• Hands-on CI/CD improvements and tooling experience.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, containers and IaC.
• Observability, monitoring, alerting, and performance analysis.
• Automation to reduce repetitive tasks and improve processes.
• Product-driven mindset focused on practical, maintainable components.
• Strong collaboration with backend engineers and SREs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure reliable software releases across environments.
• Build release automation tools and frameworks to simplify release management.
• Modernize release infrastructure to scalable, maintainable tooling.
• Optimize CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows.
• Enable engineering teams to release faster, safer, and more consistently.
• Develop scalable engineering frameworks and reusable components.
• Improve observability, monitoring, and alerting for release health.
• Collaborate with Site Reliability Engineers and infra teams.
• Communicate release plans and activities across stakeholders.
• Participate in release management rotations and continuous improvement.
• Measure delivery performance to identify opportunities to improve release velocity.
