Job summary

B Lab is seeking a Junior Data Engineer to build and maintain data pipelines and onboarding of new data sources. You will collaborate with the Data & AI team to ensure reliable data delivery and align with governance standards.

This is a remote-first role with requirements to reside in PA, NY, or Brazil and be within commuting distance of Philadelphia, NYC, or São Paulo. In this early-career position, you will work under established leads to support data models, data availability, and platform

Qualifications

• 2+ years of data engineering experience and a bias for building reliable data pipelines.
• Experience in a DevOps-oriented culture with CI/CD and version control workflows.
• Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
• Hands-on experience with IaC tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK.

Responsibilities

• Develop end-to-end ETL/ELT pipelines and onboard new data sources.
• Collaborate with analytics engineers to maintain core data models.
• Ensure data availability and enforce governance standards.
• Evaluate tooling to improve onboarding speed and pipeline reliability.
