Job summary

Wadhwani Foundation seeks an inaugural U.S. Director, Finance and Human Resources to build and lead finance and HR for WOF and WCF.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive finance leadership in a foundation, nonprofit, or multijurisdiction context.
• Deep expertise in FP&A, accounting, internal controls, budgeting, audit, treasury and governance.
• Experience supporting grant-making and donor-funded programs.
• Proven track record building scalable financial systems and reporting across entities.
• Strong understanding of enterprise risk and cross-border funding implications.
• Professional qualification preferred (ACCA/CPA/CA/CFA/MBA).

Responsibilities

• Lead finance and HR for two US entities, including planning, budgets, risk management, and governance.
• Coordinate with Board, CEO, and Family Office on strategy and resource allocation.
• Oversee audits, external accounting, and compliance across entities.
• Manage treasury, liquidity, and grant-disbursement processes.
• Guide HR strategy, compensation, policy, and leadership development.
• Partner with affiliated organizations to align financial and people processes.
