Job summary

Wadhwani Foundation seeks an accomplished executive to serve as the inaugural U.S. Director, Finance and Human Resources, leading the Finance and HR functions for two U.S. entities.

The role emphasizes financial planning, governance, and people strategy, partnering with senior leadership and the Board. The position is remote-first with a preference for the San Francisco Bay Area, requires regular domestic and international travel, and offers a salary range of $225,000–$250,000 plus a 20% bonus

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive finance leadership experience.
• Experience in foundation/nonprofit sector, multi-entity environment.
• Experience supporting grant-making and donor-funded programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual and multi-year financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and stewardship for WOF and WCF.
• Establish entity-level budgets, forecasts, KPIs, cash needs and variance reviews.
• Advise CEO and boards on financial strategy, resource allocation and risk.
• Oversee accounting, reporting and internal controls; coordinate audits.
• Lead HR strategy and operations and workforce planning across entities.
• Collaborate with affiliated organizations to ensure governance and reporting excellence.
