Job summary

Wadhwani Foundation seeks an inaugural U.S. Director, Finance and Human Resources to lead Finance and HR for two U.S. entities. This executive will build budgets, controls, audits, and people programs while partnering with Boards, the CEO, and the Family Office on strategy and risk.

The role requires a builder mindset, global perspective, and ability to scale systems across entities, with travel and a remote-first, US-based work framework, preferably near the San Francisco Bay Area.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in finance leadership, ideally in foundations/nonprofit or multinational organizations.
• Experience with grant funding, donor-funded programs, or philanthropic finance.
• Ability to build scalable financial systems and reporting across entities/geographies.
• CPA/CA/CFA or MBA with finance concentration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for two U.S. entities.
• Oversee treasury, audits, controls, and regulatory compliance.
• Develop HR strategy and enterprise people processes for the Foundation.
• Partner with Boards, Family Office, and executives on financial strategy and risk.
